BMW 1 Series (5-door)

The basic introduction of Bmw 1 SERIES Visit BMW 1 Series (3-door) , We introduceed last several days.Today,it is a 5-door BMW 1 series.

The exterior of the BMW 1 Series (five-door).

The BMW 1 Series has character. Its redesigned and enlarged front air inlets allow the engine to breathe deeply. The finishers of the double headlights are more contoured; the optional fog lights are now rectangular and even more distinctly shaped. The entire front mirrors the active and agile lines of the side, giving an impression of elegance and power thanks to the discreet refinements. The dominance of the horizontal lines also lends the rear a more dynamic appearance. The distinct flow of the rear apron continues the lateral lines of the side skirts and is in perfect harmony with the front spoiler.

The interior of the BMW 1 Series (five-door).

The cockpit is dominated by broadly stretched lines and surfaces. The lower section of the instrument panel has been redesigned in the same colour as the interior. Stressing the horizontal arrangement of the interior, the new shape imparts a generous feeling of spaciousness. Soft radii and blended surfaces help to integrate the centre console with its controls for entertainment and air-conditioning functions harmoniously into the instrument panel. Functional detailed solutions such as the new glove compartment add the finishing touches to the overall harmonious concept.

The straight six-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW 130i.

The largest engine in the BMW 1 Series range features Valvetronic fully variable valve control for an optimum power curve. This silky smooth six is the most powerful engine in the 1 Series range, delivering 190 kW (258 hp). With a 0 to 100 km/h time of 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h, it’s the sportiest way to enjoy the BMW 1 Series. There’s no holding the BMW 130i back, unless it’s regarding fuel consumption, that is.

The four-cylinder petrol engines in the BMW 116i, 118i and 120i.

On average, you blink about 10 times a minute. In this time, you miss 2,000 separate fuel injections supplying as little as 2 mg of fuel each time. This exceptional level of precision is made possible by the positioning of the piezo injectors which are located centrally between the valves. The engines in the BMW 116i, 118i and 120i with the incorporate this cutting-edge technology allowing the car to operate in lean-burn mode for far longer and at far higher revs. This leads to improved efficiency, which in turn leads to better performance. Better performance from less fuel – what BMW EfficientDynamics is all about.

The four-cylinder diesel engine in the BMW 116d, 118d, 120d and 123d.

Outstandingly responsive at low revs, BMW’s diesel engines offer exceptional torque and performance. With third-generation common rail injection, the diesel engines deliver exceptional performance with unbeatable fuel consumption levels (e.g. up to 150 kW/204 hp capacity and 5.2 l/100 km for the BMW 123d). Thanks to the engine block now being made solely of aluminium, weight is reduced by an enormous 20 kg. Furthermore, the engines are fitted with Brake Energy Regeneration and the Auto Start Stop function as standard, and also come with a particle filter and a fuel guard.

The six-speed transmission in the BMW 1 Series (five-door).

Smooth and responsive, the 6-speed manual transmissions in BMW 1 Series models make for dynamic driving at its best. Their standout features are the short-throw shifts, perfect ratios and optimum exploitation of torque. The optional 6-speed automatic transmission Steptronic, which can be operated manually, delivers smooth driving with exceptional reaction speed combining instant power when pulling out and reduced fuel consumption at high speeds.

BMW EfficientDynamics in the BMW 1 Series (five-door).

Behind BMW EfficientDynamics lies a package of intelligent features which considerably reduce emissions and improve fuel consumption while, at the same time, boosting performance. They ensure that the new BMW 1 Series sets new standards in terms of the efficiency and economy of its engine: it is one of the first BMWs to offer the new Auto Start Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration and a host of drivetrain modifications. Together, they solve the “power vs. fuel consumption” dilemma, in a way that’s never been seen before.

Wheels and tyres on the BMW 1 Series (five-door).

The sporting character of the BMW 1 Series is expressed in its range of wheel rims. With the exception of the BMW 130i and 123d, all BMW 1 Series models are equipped with 16-inch steel wheels as standard. The six-cylinder petrol model and the strongest diesel version come with a 17-inch light alloy spoke as standard. In total, ten different wheel rims between 16 and 18 inches are available for the BMW 1 Series.

BMW HiFi systems in the BMW 1 Series (five-door).

The BMW 1 Series turns open roads into exciting concert venues. Subwoofers form the basis of the exceptional sound while the HiFi loudspeaker system enhances this sound with eight speakers. And for the ultimate sound experiences choose the optional Harman Kardon Surround Sound System with additional high-end technology. Using the AUX port, you can connect external devices such as MP3 players to all HiFi systems. Three BMW radios, a CD changer and an MD player complete the entertainment options.
