Concept car:BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics

BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics

Bmw’s EfficientDynamics engineering philosophy – the pursuit of an enhanced, athletic driving experience while simultaneously lowering the consumption and emissions of each vehicle – resulted in the most dramatic drop in fleet consumption of any automaker from 1990 through 2005, according to an Environmental Defense study.

Now, the BMW Vision concept car clearly demonstrates that the EfficientDynamics objectives are fully compatible when applied to a sports car. Conceived as a 2+2-seater with plug-in full-hybrid technology, this unique car combines the performance of a BMW M vehicle with a standard of fuel efficiency and emission management that exceeds even the current levels achieved by the latest small cars. This outstanding result is made possible by the combination of BMW ActiveHybrid components with an extremely economical combustion engine, and outstanding aerodynamic qualities.

BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics could improve the efficiency of internal combustion engines through Intelligent energy management.while application of electrical energy is stored, is  the most widely used technology of  BMW EfficientDynamics (high power)   by far.

As a kind of 4 seats total hybrid car, power is a three-cylinder turbo diesel engine and electric motor before and after the two groups consisting of hybrid systems, maximum power 262 kW / 356 hp, 0 100 km / h acceleration time of just 4.8 seconds, top speed 250 km / hour.

Fuel consumption is only 3.76 l / 100 km.Carbon dioxide emissions of 99 g / km.Under full electric mode driving, the process will produce electricity account emissions of carbon dioxide emissions of only 50 g / km.)

I think it’s a great concept car.I like the looks too, and compared to the Smart is down right sexy! In fact, everything about this car seems (can’t say for sure) better than the Smart.
4 doors, 4 passenger, more cargo room (rear seats down), better styling.

Any idea if this will be on display at the 2011 Detroit or New York Auto Shows?
